democracy anyone?

so yea... lets start my rant by wishing Malaysia well.... 51 yrs of independance.... hopefully many more to follow...

we live in a world where democracy prevails.... democracy, the right of everyone and anyone to have a say in the way things are... a good concept as it is, better than tyranny of a dictatorship.... nevertheless, good things such as these have a MAJOR flaw....

in a democracy, what is required for a decision is basically a majority.... it requires the agreement of MOST of the ppl so that actions can be taken.... why is this so? in a logical sense, if MOST ppl want it, then it should be done.... right? WRONG!!!

what is popular is seldom right, and what is right is seldom popular... so how can a majority alone decide what is right or wrong, what is important or not.... a decision made on the sole basis of a majority shows that it is a POPULAR decision, but it in NO WAY justifies it as a right one...

democracy in principal is ideal, but in practice, it is merely a way of saying "lets do what is popular, instead of what is right." i am a supporter of the concept of democracy, but what is needed is a mechanism to enforce what is right ALTHOUGH it does nor garner a majority...
i talk about a power so superior that it dwarfs any majority on earth... i'm talking bout God...

I dont wanna be a democratic christian.... i dont wanna bend to the tyranny of a majority.... I want to bend to the will of a KING... the KING of ALL KINGS.... in other words, i support a monarchy-style christian life....

this type of life is different from any other monarchies or dictatorships in the world.... this is because my King is incorruptible, He is NEVER wrong, and He always makes the best desicions...
i place my loyalty and complete control of my life to someone not of natural being, but of supernatural being....

that is how it was supposed to be.... democratic christianity is what we MAN made up.... there is no such thing.... its either you accept a King that will control your life, or you dont.... simple as that.... sadly to say, a number of ppl dont find this concept intriguing...

i sincerely hope for change.... i hope that ppl will open their eyes and see the flaws that this 'democracy' have to offer.... i hope that they will follow what is RIGHT rather than what is POPULAR....

i would have written a longer post, but i'm super tired.... and a chat with an old friend inspired me to type this up.... so yea... food for thought...

malaysia's journey in the olympics comes to an end...

alright, so malaysia got a medal.... silver.... not bad considering the badminton finals was seriously sad game.... nerves, home advantage? hmm.... the reasons why lee chong wei lost astounds me... but silver is better than nothing... whatever it is, u did malaysia proud.... next time perhaps?

okay.... michael phelps.... madhouse.... 8 GOLDS.... and ALL record breaking swims(7 world, 1 olympic).... my goodness... he is just the king of the pool.... its kinda surreal to have a guy juz swim his way to 8 gold medals(with some help)..... anyway, i think part of his arsenal is psychology.... you say you wanna assault 8 golds, ppl get scared, you have already won.... good job dude....

another phenomenon in the olympics, Mr. BOLT.... i think he got the right name.... 9.69 secs.... thats juz sick..... and he had time to turn around too.... plus, the 100 meters race IS NOT his preferred race.... haha.... imagine that... he doesnt like it THAT much, but breaks world records like its nothing.... oh man....

olympics is gonna end soon.... dont make a difference to me anyway.... but, London 2012 awaits... so i'd prefer london.... haha(currently facinated by england, the physical country).... thats all...

hols at last....

1 week of hols, then TEST 2 cometh.... haha.... so i guess my week of hols is gonna be packed with lots of revision and studyin.... thats all for now.... gonna sooooooooo enjoy this weekend.....

alright alright....

i've been pretty busy lately... what with college work, books to read, and stuff to do... so here is an update of my life so far....

been reading books like mad, since i stay in the hostel during the weekends and have NOTHING to do, books have become my best frens.... well, i just love to read... haha.... currently waiting for the realease of brisingr on sept 20... if you dont know what book that is, forget it.... haha.....

lessons have been getting tougher and tougher.... but with enough hard work, i think i can go through pretty well.... college life suits me well.... i never liked being forced to do things i dont wanna do, and college doesnt force you to do anything, although if u DONT do some stuff(attend lectures for example) your pretty much gonna suffer....

my frens are cool ppl.... they are from ALL sorts of backgrounds and different walks of life.... generally, they are people who are happening, yet they REALLY care for their education.... wau.... i REALLY got alot to compete with.... haha....

oh yea, i'm suddenly in a shopping craze.... in 2 weeks, i have bought one pair of shorts, a belt, a jersey, and i'm planning to buy a pair of jeans.... no idea what came over me.... just feel like buying LOADS of stuff.... haha.... currently anticipating my hols too... which is next next week....

TEST 2 will be after the hols, and i really wanna do well.... or rather HAVE to do well.... but well, that ain't gonna hamper my spirit during the hols.... might go go-karting amongst other things.... but mostly looking forward to the trip to camerons on the 22nd(i think its 22nd).... gonna really have a blast there....

too bad i cant go back for the drama this time.... i'd love to watch jia ee, ben and others act their way on stage.... will certainly bring back memories of my acting stint.... would be missing pui yee's musical talent too.... oh well, i dont look forward to going back to ipoh anymore, although i seriously do miss all the ppl there.... peeps in ipoh, when ur in kl, gimme a call.... haha...

i'll have to go to church soon.... and i really look forward to it.... one thing that i like bout DUMC is that they really have great speakers.... i now look forward to the sermon more than i do the other parts of the service.... hmm.... i'd really like to go back to MYF and see what its like there though.... but well, life moves on....

right, i'm running outta ideas on what to say... so, ciao.... till i get the inspiration to update again...
